Setup & settings

The Setup tab (gear icon) is where you set key, scale, loop length, pad labels, MIDI input, and open help.

Most options apply to the loop you're editing now. Tempo and a few other settings apply to the whole song.

Music

Key and scale

Setting Applies to
Key Current loop
Scale Current loop — Major, Natural Minor, Dorian, Mixolydian, Lydian, Major Pentatonic, Minor Pentatonic

Notes and chords on the pad grid follow these settings.

Loop length

4–32 bars for the current loop.

Quantize and humanize moved — they're now part of each track's settings pane (Sound Design → Track → Recording), so it's always clear which track they affect. See Recording → Quantize.

Record offset

If notes land late when using Bluetooth headphones, adjust Record Offset here (in milliseconds).

Listen back to a recorded loop and nudge the value until hits sit on the beat. Wired headphones usually need little or no offset.

See Troubleshooting → Bluetooth.

Pads

Note names on pads — show labels like C4 or F#3 on synth pads in Notes and Chords mode.

MIDI

External controllers connect over USB or Bluetooth MIDI. MIDI input is off by default.

Setting What it does
Enable MIDI Input Master switch for all incoming MIDI
MIDI Channel Omni (any channel) or a single channel 1–16
Pad Base Note MIDI note for pad 1 in Drums and Sampler (default 36); consecutive chromatic notes map to pad 2, 3, …. Shows drum-kit and sampler (16-pad) ranges.
Connected Devices Lists detected MIDI sources (including Apple's Network MIDI (Session 1) virtual endpoint)
Bluetooth MIDI Opens the system pairing UI

Notes mode plays MIDI pitch directly. Drums and Sampler map consecutive notes to pads. Chords are not supported yet.

Full details: MIDI input.

Song-wide settings

These apply to the entire song, not just one loop:

Metronome Control bar
Preroll Control bar
Drone sound Sound Design → Drone
