Privacy Policy

Last updated: June 26, 2026

ARC-24 (“the App,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) is operated by Daelan Wood (“Developer”). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect information when you use the ARC-24 iOS app and related services on our website at arc-24.app.

By using the App, you agree to the practices described in this policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the App.

Overview

ARC-24 is a music performance app. We designed our data practices to collect only what we need to operate purchases, prevent trial abuse, and understand how the App’s trial and unlock flow is performing. We do not sell your personal information, do not use third-party advertising or analytics SDKs, and do not use your data for cross-app tracking or targeted advertising.

Information We Do Not Collect

We do not collect or store on our servers:

  • Your name, email address, or Apple ID
  • Payment card or billing details (purchases are processed by Apple)
  • Your music, recordings, songs, or performance content
  • Microphone audio (except when you explicitly use in-app recording features, which stay on your device unless you export or save them yourself)
  • Precise location
  • Advertising identifiers (such as IDFA) for ad tracking
  • Contacts, photos, or other unrelated device content

Information Collected by Apple

When you use in-app purchases or the free trial, Apple processes payment and entitlement information through the App Store and StoreKit. That activity is governed by Apple’s Privacy Policy. We receive purchase confirmation through Apple’s systems on your device; we do not receive your Apple ID or payment details on our own servers.

Information We Collect

1. Purchase and trial analytics (our server)

To measure trial starts, paid unlocks, and general entitlement status at launch, the App sends anonymous event data to our server at arc-24.app. This helps us understand conversion and improve the App’s business model.

Each event may include:

Data Purpose
Random install identifier A random ID created on first use and stored in your device Keychain, used only to link events from the same install (for example, trial start → paid unlock). It is not your Apple ID and is not used for advertising.
Event type Such as trial started, paid unlock completed, or app launch with entitlement status (trial active, paid, or none).
Timestamp When the event occurred.
Device locale Such as en_CA or en_US, for regional reporting.
iOS version Such as 18.5, for compatibility and reporting.
Debug flag Whether the event came from a development/test build (excluded from production metrics where applicable).

We do not use this data for targeted advertising, marketing lists, or product personalization. We use it for analytics only (for example, conversion rates and estimated proceeds).

2. DeviceCheck (trial limit)

To enforce one free trial per device, the App uses Apple’s DeviceCheck service. When you start a trial, the App sends a DeviceCheck token provided by Apple to our server. We use it only to record whether that device has already claimed a trial. We do not use DeviceCheck data for advertising or analytics dashboards.

This supports App functionality and fraud prevention, not marketing.

3. Website and dashboard (operators only)

If you access our analytics dashboard on arc-24.app, standard web server logs (such as IP address, browser type, and access time) may be recorded by our hosting provider for security and operation. That access is limited to authorized operators and is not part of the App’s user analytics described above.

How We Use Information

We use the information described above to:

  • Operate in-app purchases and free trials
  • Prevent repeated trial abuse on the same device
  • Measure trial and unlock performance on an aggregate basis
  • Maintain and secure our servers
  • Improve the App over time

We do not use App analytics data for:

  • Third-party or first-party advertising
  • Selling or renting data to data brokers
  • Cross-app or cross-site tracking
  • Customizing in-app content based on your analytics profile

Legal Bases (where applicable)

Depending on your location, we process this information based on:

  • Performance of a contract: providing the App and purchases you request
  • Legitimate interests: securing the App, preventing trial abuse, and understanding aggregate business performance in a way that respects your privacy
  • Legal obligations: where required by law

Storage and Retention

Analytics and DeviceCheck-related records are stored in MySQL databases on servers operated by our hosting provider, with configuration and secrets stored outside the public web root.

We retain analytics events for as long as needed to produce business reports and then delete or aggregate them, unless a longer period is required by law. You may contact us to ask about retention practices.

Song projects, loops, and recordings you create in the App are stored on your device and, if you use it, your iCloud account through Apple’s document system. They are not stored on our analytics servers.

Sharing and Third Parties

We do not sell your personal information.

We share information only in these limited cases:

Recipient What Why
Apple DeviceCheck tokens; StoreKit/purchase flows on device Trial limit and in-app purchases
Hosting provider Server-stored analytics and operational logs Hosting and security
Legal authorities If required Compliance with valid legal process

We do not use third-party analytics, advertising, or crash-reporting SDKs that combine your data with other companies’ data for advertising.

International Transfers

Our servers may be located in the United States or other countries where our hosting provider operates. If you use the App from Canada or elsewhere, your information may be processed outside your country. We take reasonable steps to protect it in line with this policy.

Your Rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or restrict certain processing of your personal information, or to object to processing based on legitimate interests.

Because our App analytics use a random install identifier rather than your name or Apple ID, we may not be able to identify your records without additional information from you. If you contact us, describe your request and, if possible, approximate dates of trial or purchase activity.

Canada (PIPEDA): You may contact us with privacy questions or complaints. You may also contact the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada if concerns remain unresolved.

California / other US state laws: If applicable, you may have additional rights regarding access, deletion, and non-sale of personal information. We do not sell personal information as defined under those laws.

To exercise your rights, contact us at hello@arc24.app.

Children’s Privacy

The App is not directed at children under 13 (or the minimum age in your jurisdiction). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will take appropriate steps to delete it.

Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect data on our servers, including HTTPS, access controls on internal dashboards, and separation of secrets from public web files. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the revised policy on this page and update the “Last updated” date. Continued use of the App after changes means you accept the updated policy.
